Course analysis and school selection guidance
- For instance, Fashion retailing, Fashion marketing, Design management, and Luxury are all "fashion management", but in fact, the course content, research direction, and future career direction are very different
- Choose the most suitable major/school according to students' hobbies and background advantages
CV customization
- (especially students who transfer majors) highlight the areas in their personal academic background that may not be related to fashion, and turn them from disadvantages to advantages
- Personal experience screening/combing
- Career background improvement (internship direction guidance and resource provision)
Motivational Statement Directional Guidance + Personalized Customization
- According to the insights of different courses and the personal experiences of different students (the key to the motivational view of UAL is whether students understand the content of this course delivered? Does the student's personal academic background, professional experience, future career planning, and academic research interests match the content of the course?)
- Customize different statements according to the experience of different students (if you start early enough, I can also provide guidance on internship directions, and I also have resources for specific internship positions)
- Provide proofreading to ensure that the keyword/term used in the text is professional and conforms to the school's paperwork
Study proposal
- Academic writing guidance, understand the structure of the study proposal, coach to write a perfect format study proposal, highlight the research skills of students. (Especially for students of MA level. At present, all course leaders of LCF FBS are PhDs, so there are strict requirements for students' research skills, and even questions about methodology design will be asked in the interview)
- Open question selection. Summarize the hot topic based on the course content of the applied major, the research direction of the course leader/ academic staff, the agenda of the school guest lecture, and the fashion business summit/academic forum dynamics.
- Reference check. All references will be searched in UAL and industry-approved databases to ensure that they are close to the topic and highlight professionalism. (Sometimes the teacher can see a student's research ability and the depth of understanding of the topic by looking at the reference)
- Writing guidance and logic check
Portfolio
- According to the course content and assessment form of the selected major, design a portfolio that can really add points (in fact, for fashion business students, UAL does not require a portfolio, so if you want to do it, you must make a portfolio that can add points to yourself, Highlighting the bright spots. General agencies are obsessed with doing a few clothing projects, highlighting the design background is the completely wrong direction, because Fashion business and fashion design are still very different)
- Suggested directions include a Business report, case study, and Campaign proposal. Highlight students' business analysis ability, industry insight and considerable academic ability
Interview guidance
- Introduction and analysis of the interview process
- Mock interview guidance (how does it look more positive/smart/self-motivated? What answer does the teacher like? How to change the situation if you encounter a stressful interview/more tricky question?)
